Bradford District High School is a public, English-language secondary school located in Bradford, Ontario. It is managed by the Simcoe County District School Board. During the last half of the 2006-2007 school year BDHS underwent extensive renovations that included a new greenhouse and full expansion and renovation of existing facilities. As of the beginning of the Fall 2007 semester, the School offers a new construction oriented apprenticeship program offering students to have an option of hands on labour and the real experiences of working in that field. The program is rare and will be the only one offered in Simcoe County. The school was targeted by an unknown caller during the first half of the 2014-2015 school year. The caller reported bombs hidden within the school. The school was evacuated and searched by the South Simcoe Police Service. No bomb was ever discovered, and it was eventually determined the school was a victim of swatting. Notable graduates include University of Manitoba orthopaedic surgery resident Dr. James Vernon and screenwriter John Callaghan.
